On behalf of the CNISF we are most happy and honoured to welcome all guests and participants to the 14th International Conference of Women Engineers and Scientists (ICWES14) in Lille, France.
This year we are very proud to greet over 500 participants from 60 countries throughout the world. No doubt, the exchanges generated by such an international gathering of women experts in a diversity of scientific fields will be a source of inspiration and bring about new initiatives and opportunities.
The theme for this 14th International Conference of Women Engineers and Scientists is
“A changing world: an opportunity for women engineers and scientists”
During the various sessions of this conference, renowned experts will address issues and challenges to be met in today’s rapidly globalizing world. The thematic sessions will deal with sustainable development, strategies to attract more girls into scientific education and gender perspectives for scientific and engineering careers.
This three-day conference is structured around 140 oral sessions and 50 poster presentations. In addition the conference will feature specific workshops and round tables such as a Youth Forum and Role model presentations.
We wish to express our deepest gratitude to all the participants for their generous contribution in time and energy and for their invaluable sharing of experience.
